Reviewing and planning bus station system in Hanoi

 

   Government Office has written document No.7472/VPCP-KTN on September 6th 2013 that announced the opinions of Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on the activities at My Dinh bus station and regulations on passenger transportation business.

 

   Deputy Prime minister praised Hanoi People's Committee has concentrated on directing patrol, controlling, handling of violations, with initial changes on the traffic safety order inside and outside the My Dinh bus station. Deputy Prime Minister assigned Hanoi People's Committee to expeditiously review and implement development planning for the intercity bus stations system in the city in general, My Dinh bus station in particular and public transport system connecting between the bus station and urban areas, make sure that the movement of people is advantageous, ensure order and safety and reduce traffic congestion. Moreover, Hanoi People's Committee must coordinate with the Ministry of Transport, direct the Hanoi Transport Department and authorities of the city to study recommendations of agencies and relevant units to offer plan on managing intercity passenger transportation route to My Dinh bus station based on the provisions of the law to satisfy the travel needs of the people as well as business activities of the transport units.

 

   Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Transport to urgently continue researching, strictly regulating on passenger transport business conditions, researching and guiding the application of science and technology to improve the efficiency of the extraction bus stations across the country and inspecting and examining the implementation of regulations on passenger transport business licensing.
