Directions: At the northern edge of the Old Quarter, it crosses the Red River.

Description: Designed by Gustave Eiffel, Long Bien Bridge is a major bridge connecting Hanoi with the port of Haiphong. Frequently bombed during the American war, only to be immediately repaired, it was one of the longest bridges in Asia. Today, it is used by trains, mopeds, bicycles and pedestrians but motor vehicle traffic uses the nearby Chuong Duong Bridge.
