It's not so bad... It's not so good...
It's just... average (yawn)

This place is part of the big Hong Kong-based AlFresco's group of restaurants and you can definitely tell it is a chain. As far as the food and atmosphere, you won't get any surprises here either bad or good. The menu seems to be designed to offer a selection of items that was determined (by a focus group maybe?) to appeal to the broadest number of people in their target demographic. The cooking is not bad - just uninspired and inoffensive. The prices are just a shade on the high side but not enough to keep you from pulling out your wallet. I thought it was a boring and calculated corporate dining experience. No zip or zest.

They serve pizzas, pastas, sandwiches and other inoffensive items. I had the buffet (actually a good value) and was able to sample a wide variety of what they had to offer. Favorite was the green mango salad which actually had a bit of taste - Least favorite was the pizza. My opinion only - I've had much better freezer pizzas (my partner thought it was pretty good though.)

I do have to say that the wait staff was very well trained - friendly, available and competent. They seemed like a happy bunch too. That speaks well for the management and franchise and how they treat their employees.

What's really weird about this place (that supposedly specializes in pizza) is despite their name there is not a single item on the menu that had any pepperoni in it whatsoever! How strange is that?

Will I go back? Probably so (sigh). Will I be excited about it? Probably not.
